Smith Acres Horse Care Options

Sessions include: 

(4) 30-minute private lessons or (4) 60-minute private lessons with Ms. Lindsay, on our beautiful 7+ acres and new riding arena. 

Lessons include horse care, anatomy, tack, mounting, walking (& maybe trotting depending on the rider), control & reins, games, dismounting properly, horsemanship, and occasionally cooling down/washing.

Step Up For Students Direct Pay Vendor for PEP/UA

All ages and abilities are welcome. Customizable lessons for each individual will be made.

Once a day/time has been confirmed, a 10-minute Zoom or FaceTime call will take place for an introduction and expectations from each party.

Lessons will begin in October 2026 and run through April 2027.

4-Week Horsemanship Program
Ages 8-14
Dates TBD - Begins October 2026

(Available as direct pay with SUFS as well.)

Each course consists of  (4) 2.5 hour classes that include horsemanship, anatomy, horse care & expenses, nutrition, fun facts, games, tacking up, mounting & dismounting, medical needs,  groundwork, and building trust. 

This course does not include riding except for small victory rides at the end of the 3rd & 4th week.
